About the Celebration

Two hundred and fifty years of history, community, and American spirit — celebrated over three remarkable days.

Our Story

A Once-in-250-Years Moment

In the summer of 2026, the Borough of Emmaus will join the nation in celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence — and simultaneously mark 250 years of its own remarkable history.

Founded as a Moravian congregational village, Emmaus has grown from a small, tight-knit settlement into a vibrant community that retains its deep sense of history, pride, and neighborly spirit.

Emmaus250 is a three-day celebration honoring both that national milestone and the unique story of our beloved borough — through education, entertainment, community, and joy.

"We are not just celebrating a number. We are celebrating the people, the stories, the struggles, and the triumphs that made Emmaus — and America — what they are today."
— Emmaus250 Organizing Committee
